Writing Center Resource

Hey there, teaching friends! I hope you all are enjoying your summer as much as I am. I don't know where the time has gone but with July wrapping up, I am gearing up and getting back into school mode. Today I want to share a resource that I have been working on along with some freebies!

My writing center is often filled with seasonal picture/word cards for my students to use as a resource in their writing. I have always kept the cards on rings that the kids can look through, use, and then put away. I love how easy the cards are to use and store, but I don't like that they can only be used by 1-2 students at a time.

I wanted to create a resource that could be stored just as easily, but could be utilized by several students at the same time. So, I came up with mini-word wall folders!

I LOVE them because:
  • several students can use them simultaneously
  • students can see all of the words at the same time
  • they are flat and can be easily stored
  • they are super easy to make- no cutting involved :)
  • they can be changed out frequently, keeping students excited and engaged!

I am in the process of creating these mini-word walls for all different themes. The back to school and weather words are in my store as a freebie so you can try it out and see if it works in your classroom! Just click on any of the pictures above to download the freebie. Enjoy!

You can also check out my other themed mini-word walls HERE  or check out my growing bundle below. If you snag the bundle now, it is majorly discounted and you will be able to re-download and get each new theme as I update the product file.

Thanks for stopping by!
